MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Education and Experience:
• High School diploma or equivalent; and
• Two years of responsible experience performing commercial and/or municipal swimming pool maintenance.
• Any combination of education, training, and experience, which provides knowledge, skills, and abilities, required for the job and related to the essential functions of this position.
Licenses and Certifications:
• Must possess a valid state driver’s license and maintain a satisfactory motor vehicle record with the ability to obtain an appropriate Nevada state driver’s license in the required time frame; maintaining a satisfactory motor vehicle record for the duration of employment.
• Complete an OSHA-10 course in construction/general industry safety and health hazard recognition and prevention within 15 calendar days after hire. Completion card must be continuously maintained while employed in this classification.
• Obtain Nevada State Commercial Driver’s License Class B within 1 year of hire or reclassification.
• Must possess one of the following credentials at the time of application:
o Swimming Pool Service Technician or Qualified Pool Operator through Southern Nevada Health District; or Certified Pool Operator (CPO) certificate;
o Or an Aquatic Facility Operator (AFO) certificate form the National Swimming Pool Foundation, National Recreation and Park Association (NRPA), or Independent Pool Service Association
