MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Education and Experience

 • Bachelor’s Degree in Public Administration, Business Administration, Human Resources, Organizational Development or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.

• Minimum of two (2) years’ experience in Employee Leave Administration & case management.

 • Minimum of two (2) years’ employee benefits and/or human resources experience.

 • An equivalent combination of related education, training and experience may be considered.

 • Preferred: Public Sector benefit and employee leave administration experience, i.e. municipality, county, state, etc.

• Must possess a valid state Driver’s License with the ability to obtain appropriate Nevada State Driver’s License within required time frame.

 • Strongly Preferred Certifications: International Foundation of Employee Benefits Plans (IFEBP) Certified Employee Benefits Specialist (CEBS), Professional certification by Society of Human Resources Management (SHRM) or the International Management Association-HR(IPMA-HR)

SELECTION PROCESS:

2. The selection process will begin with a screening of the application/resume - The best qualified candidates will be invited to participate in the assessment process. The selection process will include

Follow this format: 

  • Online Eskill assessment – week of June 10, 2024.
  • Pre-screen video interview-week of June 17,2024
  • Oral Board Interview with a written exercise component- week of  July 8, 2024
  • Selection Interview -week of July 8, 2024
  • Selection/Offer
  • Pre-Employment Screening –Selected candidates for this position are subject to a pre-employment screening which includes but is not limited to local & state criminal history check; federal criminal history check via submission of fingerprints; and drug screening. 

The selection process may include any combination of written, performance, and oral assessments to evaluate job-related education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities.
