QUALIFICATIONS AND ATTRIBUTES:
Education and Experience 

•    High school diploma or GED certificate and two years of custodial experience required.

 

Licenses and Certifications 
•    Must possess a valid state driver's license and maintain satisfactory motor vehicle record with the ability to obtain appropriate Nevada state driver’s license within required time frame.  

 

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
•    Basic methods, materials and equipment used in janitorial work. 

•    Safe work practices.

•    Operate vehicles in the transportation of passengers over public roads during times with varying traffic and driving conditions. 

•    Maintenance, inventory and storage of supplies. 

•    Understand and follow routine oral and written  instructions. 

•    Read maps and follow directions to new or different facilities/locations. 

•    Read safety information, work schedules and other related materials. 

•    Perform strenuous and routine work. 

•    Establish and maintain effective working relationships.

•    Ability to accurately measure cleaning agents and interpret instructions and warning labels.. 

•    Ability to make observations 

•    Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple one or two step instructions.

•    While performing the essential functions of this job the employee is regularly required to stand for extended periods of time, walk, sit, use hands to finger, handle, or feel, reach with hands and arms, and lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
