ESSENTIAL INFORMATION

- Pay considerations - The starting hourly pay for this position is $24.64 - $36.95. The selected candidate for this position will start at the beginning of the salary range, no exceptions. Existing employees will receive increases as outlined by their bargaining agreement.
- Work Schedule - This position is scheduled to work 4 days per week, 9 hours per day (36 hours per week), Monday – Thursday 8 am – 6 pm.
THE ROLE:
Under general supervision provides clerical and technical support in the acceptance, processing and maintenance of dog license applications and privileged and non-privileged business license applications which requires the ability to interpret and apply municipal codes and the regular use of independent judgment and initiative.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
Education and Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent and three years of progressively responsible clerical/technical
experience including significant public contact, customer service duties, basic accounting procedures
or interpretation of codes. - Fluent English/Spanish language skills are desired.
- Experience interpreting, applying and explaining business license codes is desirable.
SELECTION PROCESS
- Complete online application - Interested candidates MUST submit a completed application through the City’s application system. Evaluation of meeting requirements will be made solely on information provided on the application and any required attachments.
- The selection process will begin with a screening of the application/resume - The best qualified candidates will be invited to participate in the assessment process. The selection process will include
- Online Assessment – This assessment will include Microsoft Office, customer service, office skills, and computer skills. (Weighted 30%, Passing Score 70%)
- Oral Board Interview - (Weighted 70%, Passing Score 70%)
- Pre-Employment Screening – Selected candidates for this position are subject to a pre-employment screening which includes but is not limited to local & state criminal history check; federal criminal history checks via submission of fingerprints; and drug screening.
- Selection/Offers-
Note: Subsequent vacancies during the life of the internal eligibility list may require participation in an additional selection interview. The selection interview will be weighted 100%, requiring a passing score of 70% in order to be considered for the subsequent position vacancy.
