ESSENTIAL INFORMATION
THE ROLE
The City Clerk Intern will gain hands-on experience in public administration, legal processes, and civic engagement. This role offers a unique opportunity to work directly with elected officials, support citywide operations, and interact with members of the public. Interns will assist in managing and organizing official city records and contracts, provide courteous, front-line assistance in the City Clerk's lobby, and receive contracts and subpoenas.
Pay Considerations
The hourly pay for this position is: $15 - $19 (based on education level).
Work Schedule
This position is scheduled to work: up to 20 hours weekly between Monday and Thursday, 8 a.m. - 6 p.m.
Part-Time/Temporary Position
- This position is a part time/temporary position and does not include health or medical benefits.
- Hours for this position will not exceed 935 per calendar year (see weekly hours for this position under work schedule).

IDEAL CANDIDATE
The ideal candidate should demonstrate a high degree of professionalism; and exhibit strong interpersonal, communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
Fluency in Spanish is desired
ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS
- Current enrollment in any of the following degree programs: Political Science, Business, Public Administration, Communications, or a related field from a regionally accredited post-secondary institution
- Current enrollment with a minimum of 6 credit hours per semester (undergraduate level) or 3 credit hours per semester (graduate level)
- Cumulative GPA of 2.0 or higher
- Recent College Graduates are also encouraged to apply
- A valid Nevada driver’s license
SELECTION PROCESS
