- Work Schedule - The schedule consists of Monday- Thursday, 6:00am to 3:30pm. This exempt position is not a remote position and requires in person attendance.
- Pay considerations – The salary range for this position is $97,715.37– $158,904.02. Salary offers will be made depending on qualifications and experience.
ABOUT THE POSITION
The City is filling one (1) vacancy for this position. The Construction Services Manager will be responsible for overseeing and managing the successful execution of offsite construction/ water inspection; Capital Improvement Projects (CIP). This role will require a strong understanding of construction management principles, project planning, and coordination with various stakeholders.
- Project Management: Develop and implement comprehensive project plans, including schedules, budgets, and resource allocation.
- Stakeholder Coordination: Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, such as engineers, architects, contractors, and subcontractors, to ensure project goals are met.
- Quality Assurance: Monitor and maintain quality standards throughout the construction process, ensuring compliance with all relevant codes and regulations.

CANDIDATE QUALIFICATIONS
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college in Engineering, Construction Management, or closely related field.
- Five (5) years of engineering/construction management-related work experience, preferably in public sector, which includes three (3) years of supervisory experience.
- Equivalency: Any combination of education, training, and experience which provides knowledge, skills, and abilities required for the job and related to the essential functions of the position.
Licenses and Certifications:
- Nevada Driver’s License.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license in the State of Nevada.
- Certification through the Association of State Floodplain Managers Certified Floodplain Manager Program, or obtain certification within one (1) year of date of employment.
SELECTION PROCESS
The selection process will begin with a screening of the application/resume. The best qualified candidates will be invited to participate in the assessment process. The selection process will include:
- Prescreen Interview
- Oral board interview
This process may be modified to include any combination of written, performance, and oral assessments to evaluate job-related education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities. The City reserves the right to modify selection devices and test instruments in accordance with accepted legal, ethical, and professional standards.
Appointment may be subject to the successful and timely completion of a post offer pre-employment background investigation and medical/physical examination, including a drug/alcohol test.
