ESSENTIAL INFORMATION

- Pay Considerations – The salary range for this position is $64,654.94 - $101,217.38. Starting salary is dependent on education, qualifications, and experience.
- Work Schedule– This position is schedule to work 4 days per week, 9 hours per day, (36 hour work week) Monday through Thursday, 7:00 am to 5:00 pm.
THE ROLE
Under general supervision, identifies, develops and evaluates programs that target substance use disorders (SUD), rehabilitative treatment navigation and re-entry services for incarcerated persons at the City of North Las Vegas Community Correctional Center. Coordinates evidence-based programming, case management, and discharge planning; collaborates with courts, community treatment providers, and justice partners to reduce recidivism and support continuity of care. Ideal candidate will have exceptional organization skills, experience with grant management, and ability to stand up new programs.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education and Experience
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college in social work, counseling, psychology, criminology, public health, or a closely related field. Two years of progressively responsible case management or treatment navigation experience in SUD, behavioral health, reentry, or related human service. Equivalency: Any equivalent combination of education, work experience, and/or training in social work, counseling, criminology or related human services related to serving at-risk populations may be considered a substitute for the education required.
Licenses and Certifications
Must possess a valid state driver's license and maintain satisfactory motor vehicle record and ability to obtain appropriate Nevada state driver’s license within required time frame.
SELECTION PROCESS
2. The selection process will begin with a screening of the application/resume: The best qualified candidates will be invited to participate in the assessment process. The selection process will include (dates to be determined).
3. Oral Board Interview (Passing Score 70%, Weight 100%)
4. Pre-Employment Screening – ** IMPORTANT INFORMATION: Background check processing may take 3 to 4 months to complete. Background Screening/Investigation Includes an extensive background check, polygraph/CVSA examination, medical/drug screen exam. All top scoring candidates must pass the Background Investigation in order to move forward in the process. Applicants who proceed in the selection process will be required to complete an extensive police background. Among other items, the following are disqualifying behaviors:
· Any felony conviction.
· Any domestic violence conviction.
· Gross misdemeanor and misdemeanor convictions will be reviewed on a case by case basis.
· Although there have been recent changes to laws regarding the legal possession and consumption of marijuana, the City of North Las Vegas will continue to adhere to its professional standards and guidelines as it relates to recent and continuous use of the drug.
5. Selection/Offers
Note: Subsequent vacancies during the life of the internal eligibility list may require participation in an additional selection interview. The selection interview will be weighted 100%, requiring a passing score of 70% in order to be considered for the subsequent position vacancy.
The selection process may include any combination of written, performance, and oral assessments to evaluate job-related education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities. The City reserves the right to modify selection devices and test instruments in accordance with accepted legal, ethical, and professional standards.
