Qualifications and Attributes:
Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice, Social Work, Psychology, Counseling or closely related field.
Minimum of two years’ experience working in a criminal court or rehabilitation facility.
Licenses and Certifications:
Ability to receive NCIC certification within six months.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
• Ability to work collaboratively with others in a manner that is pleasant and professional.
• Ability to work well in a team environment.
• Ability to exercise good judgment and discretion.
• Ability to respond as needed to crisis situations in an efficient manner.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Willing to seek out new work projects and contribute ideas and efforts to the constant improvement of the CARE Program.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
• Works in a normal office environment where there is little or no physical discomfort associated with changes in weather or discomfort associated with noise, dust, dirt and the like.
• Exerting up to 15 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently to lift, carry or move objects.
• The worker is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; expansive reading.
• Occasional exposure to hostile individuals.
• Noise levels are typically quiet.
• Regular and timely attendance is required.
PRE-EMPLOYMENT SCREENING:
Candidates for this position are subject to a Pre-employment screening. Pre-employment screening includes but is not limited to: Local and State Criminal History Check; Federal Criminal History Check via submission of fingerprints, and a drug screen.
