ESSENTIAL INFORMATION

  • Part-Time/Temporary Position – This position is a part time/temporary position and DOES NOT include health or medical benefits. Hours for this position will not exceed 938 per calendar year.
  • Pay Considerations – The hourly pay for this position is $60.00.  
  • Work Schedule – Hours may vary, will be determined.  

THE ROLE

Under general supervision, provides mobile crisis intervention services for individuals and family members by responding to emergency calls through the 911 system on a Crisis Response Team from an ambulance; provides on-scene crisis intervention, de-escalation, direct clinical services, program development, policy implementation, community and home-based services, and behavioral and human services to mentally ill, mentally disabled.

**This position is grant funded, and the length of assignment is dependent on funding availability.**

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Education and Experience

  • Master's degree from an accredited college or university with major course work in counseling, and family therapy, psychology, social work or closely related academic field.
  • An equivalent combination of education, training and clinical work experience that provides the knowledge, and skills to perform the essential functions of the position

Licenses and Certifications

  • Current state of Nevada license as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Marriage and Family Therapist, or Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor; and licensing must be maintained as a condition of continuous employment

     

 

SELECTION PROCESS

3. Pre-Employment Screening – Selected candidates for this position are subject to a pre-employment screening which includes but is not limited to local & state criminal history check; federal criminal history check via submission of fingerprints; and drug screening. Although there have been recent changes to laws regarding the legal possession and consumption of marijuana, the City of North Las Vegas will continue to adhere to its professional standards and guidelines as it relates to recent and continuous use of the drug.
