MINIMMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education and Experience
• High School Diploma or GED
• Two (2) years of customer service work, which included clerical and accounting experience OR included experience dealing directly with customers/account holders, processing payments, and reviewing account/billing inquiries.
• Equivalency: May substitute a combination of equivalent education and experience. The city assesses one (1) of full-time experience as equivalent to one year of education.
Licenses and Certifications
• Must possess a valid state driver’s license and maintain satisfactory motor vehicle record with the ability to obtain an appropriate Nevada state driver’s license in the required time frame.
SELECTION PROCESS
1. Oral Board (Weight 100%, Passing Score 70%)
Note: Subsequent vacancies during the life of the eligibility list may require participation in an additional selection interview. The selection interview will be weighted 100%, requiring a passing score of 70% in order to be considered for the subsequent position vacancy.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS (Duties may include, but are not limited to, the following)
• Receives utility payments from the public
• Resolves customer concerns and complaints related to utility bills, water waste, and other utility related questions
• Evaluates requests for opening new utility accounts, closing utility accounts, make payment arrangements, assist with the setup of direct pay applications, and letters of credit
• Receives calls in a call center setting
• Performs related duties and responsibilities as required
• Able to lift and /or move up to 25 pounds
