MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education and Experience
- One year of customer service work which included clerical and accounting or bookkeeping experience for a utility company or financial institution.
- Six months of customer service experience working specifically in collections for a utility company or financial institution.
- Must possess or obtain a valid Nevada driver’s license and maintain a satisfactory motor vehicle record.
SELECTION PROCESS
- Complete online application - Interested candidates MUST submit a completed application through the City’s application system. Evaluation of meeting requirements will be made solely on information provided on the application and any required attachments.
- The selection process will begin with a screening of the application/resume - The best qualified candidates will be invited to participate in the assessment process. The selection process will include (dates to be determined).
- E-Skill examination (Weighted 50%, Passing Score 70%) Test will measure grammar, spelling, math, customer service, and Microsoft office knowledge.
- Oral Board Interview (Weighted 50%, Passing Score 70%).
- Pre-Employment Screening - Selected candidates for this position are subject to a pre-employment screening which includes but is not limited to local & state criminal history check; federal criminal history checks via submission of fingerprints; and drug screening. **IMPORTANT INFORMATION: Background check processing may take 2 to 3 months to complete.

Note: Subsequent vacancies during the life of the internal eligibility list may require participation in an additional selection interview. The selection interview will be weighted 100%, requiring a passing score of 70% in order to be considered for the subsequent position vacancy.
