MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education and Experience
- Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in business administration, finance, public administration, or accounting.
- A minimum of one (1) year of professional accounting experience, ideally in a public sector setting, that included the demonstrated ability to work independently under limited supervision.
- Any combination of education, training, and experience which provides knowledge, skills, and abilities required for the job and related to the essential functions of the position. One (1) year of full time work experience is equivalent to one (1) year of education.
Licenses and Certifications
- Preferred: Certified Financial Research Administrator or similar.
SELECTION PROCESS
- Complete Online Application - Interested candidates MUST submit a completed application through the City’s application system. Evaluation of meeting requirements will be made solely on information provided on the application and any required attachments.
- The selection process will begin with a screening of the application/resume - The best qualified candidates will be invited to participate in the assessment process. The selection process will include (dates to be determined).
- Online Assessment (Weighted 30%, Passing Score 70%) - The most qualified individuals will be invited to participate in an online assessment that will measure candidates ability to proofread, maintain attention to detail, basic mathematical ability, customer service, and may include items related to performing the essential functions of the positions. Dates to be determined.
- Oral Board Interview (Weighted 70%, Passing Score 70%) - Dates to be determined.
- Pre-Employment Screening – Selected candidates for this position are subject to a pre-employment screening which includes but is not limited to local & state criminal history check; federal criminal history checks via submission of fingerprints; and drug screening. *IMPORTANT INFORMATION: Background check processing may take 2 to 3 months to complete.
