MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
Education and Experience: 

• Associates degree from an accredited college or university in business administration, public administration, accounting, economics, or a closely related field.
• Two (2) years of experience that included performing research and analysis, and preparing analytical reports.
• Preferred experience in performing research, and data analysis for a fire department; experience as an administrative or business analyst for a public sector organization.
• Equivalency: Any combination of education, training, and experience which produces the knowledge, skills, and abilities required for the job and related to the essential functions of the position.
• Must possess a valid state driver’s license and maintain a satisfactory motor vehicle record with the ability to obtain an appropriate Nevada state driver’s license within the required time frame.

SELECTION PROCESS

  1. Complete Online Application - Interested candidates MUST submit a completed application through the City’s application system. Evaluation of meeting requirements will be made solely on information provided on the application and any required attachments.
  2. The selection process will begin with a screening of the application/resume - The best qualified candidates will be invited to participate in the assessment process. The selection process will include (dates to be determined).
  3. E-Skill examination Exam (Weighted 25%; Passing Score: 70%) 
  4. Oral Board Interview (Weighted 75%; Passing Score: 70%)
  5. Pre-Employment Screening – Selected candidates for this position are subject to a pre-employment screening which includes but is not limited to local & state criminal history check; federal criminal history checks via submission of fingerprints; and drug screening. *IMPORTANT INFORMATION: Background check processing may take 2 to 3 months to complete.
 
The selection process may include any combination of written, performance, and oral assessments to evaluate job-related education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities. The City reserves the right to modify selection devices and test instruments in accordance with accepted legal, ethical, and professional standards.
