ESSENTIAL INFORMATION

- Pay Considerations – The starting salary for the position is $78,357.50. Starting salary is dependent on education, qualifications, and experience.
Work Schedule – This position is scheduled to work 4 days per week, 9 hours per day, (36-hour work week) Monday through Thursday, 8:00am to 6:00pm
THE ROLE
Under general supervision, performs analytical and technical work to support the development, implementation, and enhancement of IT systems and business processes. Coordinate segments of IT projects, gather and analyze complex business requirements, and translate them into functional specifications.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a closely related field;
- Three (3) years of work experience in analytics, systems development or project management.
- Equivalency: Any equivalent combination of education, related work experience, or training in business systems analytics and/or systems development. The City assesses one (1) year of full-time job relevant job experience as equivalent to one (1) year of education.
Licenses and Certifications
- Must possess or have the ability to obtain a valid Nevada driver’s license and maintain a satisfactory motor vehicle record.
- Incumbents in positions that require possession of valid licensing/certification as a condition of employment must obtain and maintain such credentials within the established time periods, and throughout the course of employment. Failure to obtain or maintain required licenses or certifications in good standing may result in disciplinary action, up to and including termination.
SELECTION PROCESS
- Complete Online Application - Interested candidates MUST submit a completed application through the City’s application system. Evaluation of meeting requirements will be made solely on information provided on the application and any required attachments.
- The selection process will begin with a screening of the application/resume - The best qualified candidates will be invited to participate in the assessment process. The selection process will include (dates to be determined).
- Oral Board Interview - (Weighted 100%):
- Pre-Employment Screening –Selected candidates for this position are subject to a pre-employment screening which includes but is not limited to local & state criminal history check; federal criminal history checks via submission of fingerprints; and drug screening. *IMPORTANT INFORMATION: Background check processing may take 2 to 3 months to complete.
