A PART-TIME TEMPORARY Lead Event Production Technician is an essential member of our team, we invite you to apply and help contribute to CNLV’S growing success! Please thoroughly review the information and selection process outlined below this announcement.

ESSENTIAL INFORMATION

Part-Time/Temporary Position – This position is a part time/temporary position and DOES NOT include health or medical benefits. Hours for this position will not exceed 938 per calendar year.
Pay Considerations – The hourly pay for this position is $46.15.
Work Schedule – Work hours vary seasonally, averaging approximately 19 hours per week during the off-season and increasing to 40 or more hours per week during the summer season (May–September). You must be able to work varied shifts, including evenings, weekends, overtime, stand by and holidays. Hours will not exceed 935 per calendar year.

  • The worker is subject to inside environmental conditions: Protection from weather conditions but not necessarily from temperature changes.
  • The worker is subject to both environmental conditions: Activities occur inside and outside.
  • The worker is subject to noise: There is sufficient noise to cause worker to shout in order to be heard above the ambient noise level.
  • The worker is subject to hazards: Includes a variety of physical conditions, such as proximity to moving mechanical parts, moving vehicles, electrical current, working on scaffolding and high places, exposure to high heat or exposure to chemicals, walking, and working on slippery and uneven surfaces.
  • The worker is subject to atmospheric conditions: One or more of the following conditions that affect the respiratory system of the skin: Fumes, odors, dusts, mists, gases, or poor ventilation.

THE ROLE
Under general supervision, performs specialized technical duties related to the staging of events and performances; supervises part-time staff activities relating to maintenance of facilities, equipment and staging of events; performs specialized technical production duties related to rigging, sound, and lighting for events and performances at Craig Ranch Regional Park.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education and Experience

  • Must be minimum age of 18 years at time of application.
  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent 
  • Extensive experience working in live event production, concerts, conferences, or similar settings. In- depth knowledge of professional audio, video, or lighting equipment, systems, and software relevant to the designated discipline.


Licenses and Certifications

  • Must possess a valid Nevada state driver’s license/Identification Credential or have the ability to obtain, and maintain a satisfactory driving record.
  • Must possess an OSHA-30 General Industry Training Program Completion Card within (15) days of date of hire.
  • Commercial Driver’s License Class A is highly desired, but not mandatory.

SELECTION PROCESS

  3. Oral board interview (Pass/Fail).
  4. Pre-Employment Screening – Selected candidates for this position are subject to a pre-employment screening which includes but is not limited to local & state criminal history check; federal criminal history check via submission of fingerprints; drug screening; and a Child Abuse & Neglect Registry clearance for applicants 18 years of age or above. *IMPORTANT INFORMATION: Background check processing may take 2 to 3 months to complete.
