MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university in Business or Public Administration, Communications, or a closely related field.
  • Minimum of two (2) years of professional-level experience in operating and administering community outreach, neighborhood/community assistance, or community programs or events.
  • Equivalency: A minimum of five (5) years of recent professional work experience working in outreach or community engagement, especially related to at-risk populations, may be substituted for the education requirement above.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working within a diverse community
  • Fluency in Spanish
  • Experience with Library services and programs
 
 
SELECTION PROCESS
  1. Complete Online Application - Interested candidates MUST submit a completed application through the City’s application system. Evaluation of meeting requirements will be made solely on information provided on the application and any required attachments.
  2. The selection process will begin with a screening of the application/resume - The best qualified candidates will be invited to participate in the assessment process. The selection process will include (dates to be determined).
  3. Oral Board Panel Interview 
  4. Pre-Employment Screening –   Selected candidates for this position are subject to a pre-employment screening which includes but is not limited to local & state criminal history check; federal criminal history checks via submission of fingerprints; and drug screening. *IMPORTANT INFORMATION: Background check processing may take 2 to 3 months to complete
