MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education and Experience

  • Advanced knowledge of the principles, practices and administration of facility maintenance. Knowledge of construction, program development and administration. Experience and knowledge of roadway operations and building maintenance functions. This experience and knowledge are generally acquired through completion of an associate’s degree in civil or technical related field or work history.
  • Five or more years of progressively complex and responsible related work experience, which include three to five years of supervisory experience, in order to effectively develop and manage divisions’ mission and operations.
  • Any combination of education, training, and experience which produces the knowledge, skills and abilities required for the job and related to the essential functions of the position.

Licenses and Certifications

  • Must possess a valid state driver's license and maintain satisfactory motor vehicle record and ability to obtain appropriate Nevada state driver’s license within required time frame.
  • State of Nevada Herbicide/Pesticide Applicators License within six months of hire/reclassification.
  • Sixteen hours Asbestos Operations and Maintenance education within six months of hire/reclassification.
  • Must obtain a completion card for an OSHA-30 Construction course not later than 15 days after the date a supervisory employee is hired pursuant to NRS 618.977.
