MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Education and Experience

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Two (2) years of full-time work experience public relation contact in person, preferably in the parking industry.
  • Preferred experience with the understanding, interpretation and enforcement of laws or ordinances.

Licenses and Certifications

  • Must complete NCIC certification within six (6) months of hire/transfer and be recertified every two years. Must maintain certifications in NCIC/NCJIS as a condition of continued employment.
  • OSHA-10 course in construction safety and health hazards recognition and prevention, completion card must be obtained within fifteen (15) days of hire/transfer.
  • Possession of a Flagger Certification within three (3) months of the date of hire or reclassification.

SELECTION PROCESS   

  1. Complete online application - Interested candidates MUST submit a completed application through the City’s application system. Evaluation of meeting requirements will be made solely on information provided on the application and any required attachments.
  2. The selection process will begin with a screening of the application/resume - The best qualified candidates will be invited to participate in the assessment process. The selection process will include 
  3. Written Exam- Passing Score of 70% or higher to proceed to the Oral Panel Interview.
  4. Oral Board Interview - (Weighted 100%, Passing Score 70%)
  5. Pre-Employment Screening – Selected candidates for this position are subject to a pre-employment screening which includes but is not limited to local & state criminal history check; federal criminal history checks via submission of fingerprints; and drug screening.
  6. Selection/Offers-

Note: Subsequent vacancies during the life of the internal eligibility list may require participation in an additional selection interview. The selection interview will be weighted 100%, requiring a passing score of 70% in order to be considered for the subsequent position vacancy.

The City reserves the right to modify selection devices and test instruments in accordance with accepted legal, ethical, and professional standards.
