MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education and Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent and;
- 6 months progressively responsible experience performing park, landscape, or horticulture maintenance work.
- Any combination of education, training, and experience, which provides knowledge, skills, and abilities, required for the job and related to the essential functions of the position.
Licenses and Certifications
- Must possess or obtain a valid Nevada driver’s license at time of hire and maintain a satisfactory motor vehicle record for the duration of employment.
- Complete an OSHA-10 course in construction/general industry safety and health hazard recognition and prevention within 15 calendar days after hire. Completion card must be continuously maintained while employed in this classification.
SELECTION PROCESS

- Assessment - Oral board interview weighted 100%, Passing Score 75% and potential selection interview
- Pre-Employment Screening – Selected candidates for this position are subject to a pre-employment screening which includes but is not limited to local & state criminal history check; federal criminal history check via submission of fingerprints; and drug screening.
- Selection/Offers
Note: Subsequent vacancies during the life of the internal eligibility list may require participation in an additional selection interview. The selection interview will be weighted 100%, requiring a passing score of 75% in order to be considered for the subsequent position vacancy.
