MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Education and Experience:

  • High School Diploma/GED
  • Two (2) years of clerical/administrative support experience

OR

  • Equivalency:  a combination of education, training and experience.  

 

Licenses and Certifications:

Must type 45 accurate net words per minute as demonstrated by a typing certificate dated no more than one year prior to the date of application.

 

SELECTION PROCESS

1. Oral board (Weight 100%, Passing Score 70%)

*Note: Subsequent vacancies during the life of the list, may require participation in an additional selection interview and that additional selection interview(s) will be weighted at 100% requiring a minimum of 70% in order to be considered for the subsequent position vacancies. 

2. Background Investigation

Includes an extensive background check, polygraph/CVSA examination, medical/drug screen exam. All top scoring candidates must pass the Background Investigation in order to move forward in the process.

3. Selection/Offers

BACKGROUND PROCESS & PRE EMPLOYMENT REQUIREMENTS

Candidates for this position are subject to pre-employment screenings and employment is contingent upon these results. Pre-employment screenings may include but are not limited to: local, state, and federal criminal history checks, and may require submission of fingerprints; drug screen; and physical examinations to include a psychological evaluation.

 

WORKING CONDITIONS:

  • Primary functions performed in a normal office environment where there are little or no physical discomforts associated with changes in weather or discomforts associated with noise, dust, dirt, and the like.
  • Primary functions require sufficient physical ability and mobility to work in an office setting; to stand or sit for prolonged periods of time conducting research and other job duties; to occasionally stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, reach, and twist; to occasionally lift, carry, push, and/or pull light to moderate amounts of weight, up to 25 pounds; to operate office equipment requiring repetitive hand movement and fine coordination including use of a computer keyboard; and to verbally communicate to exchange information.
  • Must be able to work any shift and/or days of the week.
  • May be required to travel.

 

SALARY

All selected candidates will start at Step 1 with an hourly rate of $23.13.
