A PROGRAM SUPERVISOR (PART-TIME TEMPORARY) is an essential member of our team, we invite you to apply and help contribute to CNLV’S growing success! Please thoroughly review the information and selection process outlined below this announcement.
ESSENTIAL INFORMATION

- Part-Time/Temporary Position – This position is a part time/temporary position and DOES NOT include health or medical benefits. Hours for this position will not exceed 938 per calendar year.
- Pay Considerations – The hourly pay for this position is $16.
- Work Schedule – You must be able to work any shift (days, swings, or graveyard), any day of the week, to including weekends, holidays, and overtime.
- Work location – Various recreational centers throughout North Las Vegas (please choose from dropdown menu above your location preference).
THE ROLE
Under general supervision, this position is responsible for development and instruction for a variety of specialized programs and is responsible for performance of assigned lead program specialist duties.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education and Experience
- Minimum age of 18 years
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent
- Two (2) years of training or experience in Recreation, Physical Education, or closely related acceptable field and one (1) year as Program Specialist with the City of North Las Vegas;
- Or Three (3) years of training or experience in Recreation, Physical Education, or closely related acceptable field.
- Bilingual Skills are desired
Licenses and Certifications
The below required certifications must remain valid and current during employment for the City of North Las Vegas:
- Must possess a valid Nevada state driver’s license/Identification Credential or have the ability to obtain, and maintain a satisfactory motor vehicle record.
- Must possess a Standard First Aid and CPR Certificate within two weeks of hire prior to performing the essential functions of position. NLS will provide training.
- Must possess a Clark County Health Card (Food Handler Card) within thirty (30) days of date of hire.
SELECTION PROCESS

- The selection process will begin with a screening of the application/resume - The best qualified candidates will be invited to participate in the assessment process. The selection process will include (dates to be determined).
- Pre-Employment Screening – Selected candidates for this position are subject to a pre-employment screening which includes but is not limited to local & state criminal history check; federal criminal history check via submission of fingerprints; drug screening; and a Child Abuse & Neglect Registry clearance.
