MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
Education and Experience:

High school diploma or equivalent and three or more years of related experience in land surveying activities. Additional post high school courses in advanced mathematics desirable.
Licenses and Certifications:
- Must possess a valid state driver's license and maintain satisfactory motor vehicle record with the ability to obtain appropriate Nevada state driver’s license within required time frame.
Skills:
- A knowledge of topographic, design and construction surveying relating to Public Works projects.
- Experience using state of the art surveying equipment including electronic total stations, global positioning system equipment, modern computer systems and survey related software applications.
- Ability to operate complex surveying equipment required for field surveys.
- Safety standards, principles practices and equipment related to work.
- Performs complicated mathematical computations.
- Ability to read and interpret topographic maps and other maps, plats and plans to locate survey points and monumentation.
