MINIMMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in Education, Training and Development, Human Resources, or a closely related field.
- Five (5) years of experience in training and development, with a focus on needs assessment, instructional design, and training delivery.
- Equivalency: An equivalent combination of education, experience, and training in Learning and Development, Adult Learning and Training, Human Resources Management, or closely related field may be considered.
Preferred Qualifications
- Public Sector experience is preferred.
- Certified Professional in Learning and Performance (CPLP) is preferred.
Licenses and Certifications
- Must possess a valid state driver’s license and maintain satisfactory motor vehicle record and ability to obtain appropriate Nevada state driver’s license.
SELECTION PROCESS
- Complete Online Application - Interested candidates MUST submit a completed application through the City’s application system. Evaluation of meeting requirements will be made solely on information provided on the application and any required attachments.
- The selection process will begin with a screening of the application/resume - The best qualified candidates will be invited to participate in the assessment process. The selection process will include (dates to be determined):
- Virtual Pre-Screen via e-skill (Weighted 50%; Passing Score: Pass/Fail) - The best qualified candidates from the application review will be invited to the virtual pre-screen interview.
- Interview with Role Play/Practical Exercise (Weighted 50%; Passing Score: 70%) - Top scoring candidates from the virtual pre-screen will be invited to participate in the in-person interview (with role play/practical exercise).
- Final Selection Interview - The top candidates from the in-person interview will be invited to meet with our Leadership Team.
- Pre-Employment Screening – Selected candidates for this position are subject to a pre-employment screening which includes but is not limited to local & state criminal history check; federal criminal history checks via submission of fingerprints; and drug screening. *IMPORTANT INFORMATION: Background check processing may take 2 to 3 months to complete.
