MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education and Experience
- Associate’s degree in business communication, communications or a field related to a function of municipal government. Bachelor’s degree preferred; and
- Five (5) years of full-time progressively responsible administrative and analytical experience performing organizational and operational analysis work in a government or business capacity, including experience as a supervisor. Two (2) years of recent supervisory experience preferred.
- Equivalency: May substitute a combination of equivalent education and experience. The city assesses 1 year of fulltime experience as equivalent to one year of education.
Licenses and Certifications
- Must possess a valid state driver's license and maintain satisfactory motor vehicle record and ability to obtain appropriate Nevada state driver’s license within required time frame.
SELECTION PROCESS

- Prescreen Interview
- Online Assessment - Pass/Fail
- Oral Board Interview - Weighted 100%, Passing Score 70%
- Pre-Employment Screening – Selected candidates for this position are subject to a pre-employment screening which includes but is not limited to local & state criminal history check; federal criminal history checks via submission of fingerprints; and drug screening. *IMPORTANT INFORMATION: Background check processing may take 2 to 3 months to complete.
