QUALIFICATIONS AND ATTRIBUTES:
Education and Experience 

•    High school diploma or GED 

•    One year surveying experience or 2 years experience in a construction trade.

•    Additional post high school course work in math, (algebra, trigonometry) preferred

 

Licenses and Certifications 
•    Must possess a valid Nevada state driver’s license at time of hire and maintain satisfactory motor vehicle record as a condition of employment.

 

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
•    Operating and maintaining survey equipment.

•    Safety standards, principles practices and equipment related to work.

•    Making complex mathematical calculations.

•    While performing the essential functions of this job, the incumbent is regularly required to maintain body  equilibrium; bend body downward and forward at legs and waist; to walk, stand, kneel, twist and sit on a frequent change basis; and use hands and arms to reach, handle, seize, hold, grasp, lift or turn objects.

•    Ability to lift and carry objects and supplies up to 25 pounds frequently, up to 50 pounds regularly, and up to 100 pounds occasionally.

•    Ability to understand and interpret a variety of written or oral instructions.

•    Oral and written communication ability.

 

WORKING CONDITIONS:
•    While performing the essential functions of this job, the incumbent is frequently exposed to outdoor weather conditions, and possible bodily injury from moving mechanical parts of equipment.

•    Must be able to work any shift or days of the week.

•    Regular and timely attendance is required.
