ESSENTIAL INFORMATION

  • Pay Considerations –The starting salary for the position is $78,357.50. Starting salary is dependent on education, qualifications, and experience. 
  • Work Schedule – This position is scheduled to work 4 days per week, 9 hours per day, (36-hour work week) Monday through Thursday, 8:00am to 6:00pm.

THE ROLE
Performs professional, technical and analytical support services for internal and external users and customers which lead toward the design, installation, modification and programming of more complex and difficult business process automation and telecommunication solutions.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university with major course work in accounting, business administration, computer science or instructional design; and,
  • Two years of progressively more responsible work experience in the assigned specialty area or project management with responsibility for providing services to a variety of businesses in the automation field or general project experience in a customer or service environment.
  • Equivalency: Six years of progressively more responsible work experience in the assigned specialty area or project management with responsibility for providing services to a variety of businesses in the automation field or general project experience in a customer or service environment may be substituted for the bachelor’s degree and the experience listed above. 

Licenses and Certifications

  • NCIC Certification required within six months of hire/reclassification. Failure to obtain and maintain this certification will result in non-confirmation of appointment.
  • Must possess a valid state driver's license and maintain satisfactory motor vehicle record with the ability to obtain appropriate Nevada state driver’s license within required time frame.
        
    SELECTION PROCESS
  1. Complete Online Application - Interested candidates MUST submit a completed application through the City’s application system. Evaluation of meeting requirements will be made solely on information provided on the application and any required attachments.
  2. The selection process will begin with a screening of the application/resume - The best qualified candidates will be invited to participate in the assessment process. The selection process will include (dates to be determined).
  3. Oral Board Interview - (Weighted 100% Passing 70%):  
  4. Pre-Employment Screening – For non-police positions only: Selected candidates for this position are subject to a pre-employment screening which includes but is not limited to local & state criminal history check; federal criminal history checks via submission of fingerprints; and drug screening. *IMPORTANT INFORMATION: Background check processing may take 2 to 3 months to complete. 
  5. Selection/Offers -

The selection process may include any combination of written, performance, and oral assessments to evaluate job-related education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities. The City reserves the right to modify selection devices and test instruments in accordance with accepted legal, ethical, and professional standards.
