MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree with major coursework in education, training, human resources, computer science, public administration, or a closely related field.
- Two (2) years of experience developing, evaluating, and presenting training and training programs.
- Or any combination of education, training, and experience which produces the knowledge and skills to perform the essential functions of the position. The City assesses one (1) year of full-time experience equivalent to one (1) year of education.
Preferred Qualification
- Training experience in varied training environments, including in-person or online.
- Public Sector experience.
Licenses and Certifications
- Must possess or obtain a valid Nevada state driver’s license and maintain a satisfactory motor vehicle record.
SELECTION PROCESS
- Complete Online Application - Interested candidates MUST submit a completed application through the City’s application system. Evaluation of meeting requirements will be made solely on information provided on the application and any required attachments.
- Application review – The selection process will begin with a screening of the application/resume. Determination of qualifications will be made solely on information provided in the application and responses to the supplemental questions. The best qualified candidates will be invited to participate in the assessment process.
- Virtual pre-screen – Friday, December 8, 2023 – The best qualified candidates from the application review will be invited to the virtual pre-screen interview.
- Interview with Role Play/Practical Exercise – Top scoring candidates from the virtual pre-screen will be invited to participate in the in-person interview (with role play/practical exercise).
- Pre-Employment Screening – Selected candidates for this position are subject to a pre-employment screening which includes but is not limited to local & state criminal history check; federal criminal history checks via submission of fingerprints; and drug screening.
