MINIMMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education and Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Four (4) years progressively responsible experience performing general maintenance work related to signs and markings.
Licenses and Certifications
- Must possess a valid state driver's license at time of application/reclassification and maintain satisfactory motor vehicle records.
- Level I International Municipal Signal Association Certificate in Signs & Markings within six months of application/reclassification.
- Level II International Municipal Signal Association Certificate in Signs & Markings within twelve months of hire/reclassification.
- Possession of City of North Las Vegas forklift certification within six months of hire/reclassification.
- Possession of a flagman certification from Nevada Department of Transportation within six months of hire/reclassification.
- CPR/First Aid Certification within six months of hire/reclassification.
- OSHA 30 Certification within six months of hire/reclassification.
SELECTION PROCESS
- Oral Board (Weight 100%, Passing Score 70%)
Note: Subsequent vacancies during the life of the eligibility list may require participation in an additional selection interview. The selection interview will be weighted 100%, requiring a passing score of 70% in order to be considered for the subsequent position vacancy.
