MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education and Experience
- High School Diploma or GED;
- Five (5) years or more progressively responsible related experience in maintenance and repair of electrical/electronics, including successful completion of a recognized trade/vocational school as an electrician and minimum of (1) year journey-level experience.
- Experience with electronic controls in an industrial/water/wastewater plant setting is preferred.
- OR an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience in an industrial and commercial industry that provides the knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the essential functions.
Licenses and Certifications
- Must possess a valid Nevada state driver’s license or have the ability to obtain, and maintain a satisfactory motor vehicle record.
- Must possess and maintain an appropriate forklift certification within six (6) months of date of hire, transfer, or promotion.
- Journeyman Electrician Card issued by Electrical Safety Professionals or equivalent at time of hire.
- OSHA 10 Hour within six (6) months of hire.
- CPR Certification within one (1) year of hire
- Certification for the State of Nevada “F” Fire Alarm Protection System Installation and Maintenance is preferred.
SELECTION PROCESS

- E-Skill assessments Weighted 50%, Passing Score 70%.
- Oral Board Interview Weighted 50%, Passing Score 70%.
- Pre-Employment Screening – Selected candidates for this position are subject to a pre-employment screening which includes but is not limited to local & state criminal history check; federal criminal history check via submission of fingerprints; and drug screening.
- Selection/Offers
Note: Subsequent vacancies during the life of the internal eligibility list may require participation in an additional selection interview. The selection interview will be weighted 100%, requiring a passing score of 70% in order to be considered for the subsequent position vacancy.
