MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
- Associates degree from an accredited college or university in Construction, Architecture, Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Planning, or a closely related field is preferred. Bachelor’s degree is preferred.
- Three (3) years of progressively and complex professional level project and construction management experience, with responsibility for coordinating all phases of design, technical/administrative and construction, preferably in a public agency.
- Equivalency: Seven years equivalent combination of related education, experience and training in construction architecture, project management, or planning, may be considered as substitute for above requirements. The city assesses one (1) year of work experience equal to one (1) year of education.
- Must possess or have the ability to obtain a valid Nevada state driver’s license and maintain a satisfactory motor vehicle record.
- Must obtain a completion card for an OSHA-30 Construction course within ninety (90) days of date of hire pursuant to NRS 618.977
- Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification or Engineer-in-Training (EIT) Certification is preferred.
